Single Point Meditation

Meditation upon a single point, like a dot of light, can generate a surprising volume of psychic energy in a pretty compressed space of time.

How it is done is simple. You visualize a single point of light against a black background, and you continue doing it for as long as you like, but you’ll want to ramp up to twenty minute type lengths, as even ten minutes of this can become too much. Sometimes it’s hard to get a good clear visualization started without a mental picture as an aid, which is what the image to the right is for. Just stare at it long enough to “burn” it into your mind’s eye, then close your eyes and see how well you see it. If you’ve got it, go ahead and get comfortable in a seated position, breathing evenly and deeply, and do it for five or ten minutes. If you’re mind wanders, just bring it back to the light. You can also add the Oval Breathing to this one to increase its clarifying and lifeforce generating power.

If your forehead starts to heat up, or generate any sensation, such as mild pressure, or even your third eye, you’ve really got it going. When finished, you just will it, and visualize it as a silvery white light, and either distribute it through your body or channel it into the Dan Tien, which is below the navel anywhere from 2 to 5 inches. You can also just leave it in the head, stored essentially in the third eye, but it would be wise to expend at least some of it, or headaches or other imbalances could occur. As an example, if you were using a manifestation technique, you could then direct that surplus of psychic energy towards the visualization of your desire, and it will fuel its materialization WAY more than if you weren’t. That is in fact the more primary purpose of the third eye: to visualize and direct. Know this: to build too much of it in the head can actually be physically dangerous, so go easy and get to know your own limits and capacities.

If after giving this one plenty of opportunity to work for you in some way, and it hasn’t, you might instead try First Awareness, Split Awareness, or Encompassing Awareness.

Ready? Go to the light…
