When I first came out to visit and explore Utah we went to the Uintas mountains which are pretty up there in size. The elevation was high above 8,000 easily and does make you feel a little spacey! I am from the east coast so I was TRULY blown away. Our mountains are ancient and rounded and green. these were craggy and steeper! The picture of our friend Amy standing before that precipice was probably at least above 7,000 feet? We were something near Cedar City Utah in the more southernly portion of the state. Utah is so beautiful it's just a gigantic photographic playground.
