Can something that does not exist live forever?
If I punch you in the face until you bleed your nonexistant gums out, you'd do well to remember that. Hahahaaahha
You are tethered to life 'here', reality is where your focal point is.
But while you are in the physical world, especially Earth, you are subject to physical torment, you can take away the emotional aspects of pain involving the ego-complex , sure. You can be submissive and not fight for your life, but make no mistake, an ego-driven entity can pop pop pop and Source would express itself on Earth with one poet less, as it would in due [x] years anyways according to biological laws. But of course, that's no matter, since nobody existed here at all anyways. Oh well lol better not kill myself since I never existed anyways.
The only thing that never existed (from the eyes of spirit) is ego. Spirit never existed from the eyes of ego too.
All depends on where your mind is.
I disagree with the sentiment of 'we do not exist' I know it is empirical truth, typically after you spend days upon days Vipassanizing, but I wouldn't want to go down that path this life
Kinda hard to explain it linearly but:
Whenever a series of events unfolds that would lead to your death, your conscious experience travels linearly backwards in time to a critical moment in order for you to take an alternative life path, presumptively to fulfill whatever it is you incarnated here for. I am certain I've had something like this happen (before) but retaining memory from that other Paisios who had a divergent life path to death would be counterproductive to the purposes of current Paisios now.
To conclude the whole POV: Whenever people are about to make a choice, the feeling they get from reflecting on their options, is a condensed life path memory from the versions of themselves who had lived down that trajectory.
Anyhow, I ask this because I want to get a motorcycle and I'm confliced
Get the motorcycle. I don't know that there is anything closer to freedom while being in a body of beliefs
Remains to be seen
