This alchemy announced itself very recently while other operations were underway, with those operations also having to do with this upcoming initiatic program, beginning on the Winter Solstice 2014, just five days away from now. The rose figures prominently in all historical alchemical contexts, but especially in Medieval and Renaissance Europe. The rose is seen at the conjunction of the two arms of the cross, the cross being symbolic for the intersection of spacetime and the quantum, or matter and spirit. It is in fact partially why the Rosicrucians are named this: it means Rosy Cross.
The color all by itself is important as a generational tone, as the deep crimson color of rose, the color of menstrual blood, is actually the color of an incredible substance made from gold, which has truly Cosmic properties. Some would call it the Red Lion, but this is somewhat beyond that level and is more than just a modern analog. That substance will likely be what we finish with next June.
