Soup etiquette....

Soup making is an Art. 

Proper ratio of solid to liquid must be accomplished for balance

More or less solid will give you stew or thin broth

When serving it is appropriate to stir with ladle

While swirl is in motion dip and ladle into bowl

Taking only both or only solid depletes the characteristic of the intended soup

This would not allow other "soup" eaters to experience the reward of a well made soup
