Title: Some Wise Men
Continued....
Here's a sculpture I made in limestone a couple of weeks ago - it's one of the symbols I got in an ABS session about the nature of life...
I hope that wise man knows Santa's coming with a huge delivery for you... hahaha.
WOW, Nigel! That is incredible! Thank you for sharing!!!!!
Shelly and Nigel-
I love the creative shares. Neon virgins are beloved to me.
I love that sculpture Nigel! How did you make it?
First, Shelly, I'm going to take inspiration from you for our Christmas decor this year! I love the whole look and feel of your fireplace.
On the sculpture... Well, I went to a 3 hour beginner's stone carving workshop and didn't want to do the simple stuff that they normally do....
Saw, drill, chisel, file, sandpaper - limestone's really easy to work with. Maybe 6 hours in total.

Not sure if this thread is intended solely for works of art which we, individually, have created or if it can include works created by others, e.g., Mother Nature or other artists who inspire us. I didn't create this work of art -- Mother Nature did. It is an untouched/unaltered stone I found right where I was sitting over 30 years ago on the shell and rock strewn shore line of Orient Point, Long Island NY. My 27 year old husband (and best friend), had just passed over suddenly and unexpectedly a week earlier. For what it's worth, I call it, "the Heart of Undying Love".
